The Essence of Trees is a tree care consulting and selective pruning business dedicated to the highest quality tree care based on the latest research and skills in the arboriculture field. All work is performed in accordance with ANSI standards and safety and ISA's Best Management Practices while following ISA's Code of Ethics.
The true value and benefit of trees is beginning to be understood and acknowledged by individuals, communities and throughout industries. Therefore, accurate information is key to proper tree maintenance and prevention is key to promoting tree health.
I communicate collaborative and realistic perspectives in understanding the fundamental requirements and challenges of growing trees within urban settings. I work within Sonoma County and will often travel throughout the West Coast to assist individual clients and projects in the professional care of trees.

Services offered include:

Selective pruning of high-profile specimen trees, Japanese maples, olive and fruit trees and ornamental shrubs in residential and commercial settings.
Restorative pruning of damaged or neglected trees.
Assist homeowners, building contractors, architects and landscapers in selection and protection of trees during remodel or development projects.
Provide supervision and inspection of trees during landscape installation, including proper planting, root assessment/pruning and establishment of irrigation requirements for the trees.
Tree consult given at time of escrow - knowing the condition of trees on a prospective property before purchasing is cost-effective.
Consultation on small fruit and olive orchards, explaining planting and pruning strategies.
Diagnosis of insect and disease in trees.
Tree health assessments given.
Information and care for heritage trees.
Written reports provided.
